Based on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, the game has the player attempt to get Sonic out of hell after Dr. Eggman made a deal with the devil. Much of the game takes inspiration from other horror and horror-adjacent series, including Castlevania and Ghosts 'n Goblins, and features an overall more creepy aesthetic.
